Villa renovation
A complete villa renovation at Al Furjan, taken from strip-out through to a finished, fully furnished home.
A complete renovation of a villa at Al Furjan, taken from demolition through to final finishes. The client wanted the whole house brought up to a current standard rather than redecorated.
The scope covered remodelling the kitchen, hall and interiors, creating a new powder bathroom, and upgrading the entrance and the landscaping. Adding a powder room meant new drainage and water routes through an existing slab, which is the kind of change that has to be resolved at design stage rather than discovered during first fix.
Starting at demolition gives a renovation its one real advantage: everything behind the finishes is visible before the new layout is committed. Services, levels and structure were surveyed with the villa stripped, and the drawings were adjusted to what was actually there.
