Villa interior
A villa interior that unfolds through a calm, layered palette, with joinery carrying the detail from the entrance through to the bedrooms.
This villa interior unfolds through a quiet, deliberate language of material, light and proportion. Rather than relying on overt gestures, the design is defined by subtle transitions and finely resolved details.
The restraint is what makes it demanding to build. Flush reveals, shadow gaps and seamless material transitions need tight tolerances, and a shadow gap that drifts by two millimetres reads as a mistake where a moulded detail would have hidden it. Every junction was drawn as a shop drawing before it was made.
Bathrooms are conceived as serene, tactile environments — stone finishes, custom built vanities and softly integrated lighting, executed to a high standard of finish. The vanities were templated on site against the as-built walls rather than cut to the drawing dimension.
